hibi publish
turn a workspace into a website, for docs, notes or a digital garden, without leaving hibi.
what it does
-
publish from hibi
choose publish workspace from the command palette. hibi asks you to confirm before anything is uploaded.
-
built on the site export
it publishes the site hibi’s export already makes, with your themes, navigation and search, and only swaps it in once the whole site checks out.
-
roll back
if a new version isn’t right, switch the site back to the one before it.
-
take it offline
take a site down whenever you like. your workspace files are never touched.
what you can do today
choose export workspace to html from the command palette. you get a single html file, or a folder with a page per document (still experimental), and you can upload either to any web host. the export guide walks through the options.
questions
what becomes public?
every page and attachment in your export, so look through the export before you publish it.
do i need it to put my notes online?
no. hibi stays free, and the export already makes a site you can host anywhere.
when is it coming?
there’s no date yet.
hear about it first
publish will be announced in hibi’s discord and in the releases on github.
